Lisa Garcia Simms brings a breadth of educational expertise and experience from her 20 years in education.  I have had the privilege of working shoulder to shoulder with her In the design, implementation, and refinement of two different innovative high school startups. Her contributions to school leadership teams draws upon a deep knowledge of instructional design, coaching, and holistic school programming approaches, such as cross-content literacy integration, expeditionary learning, project based learning, arts integration, and college and career readiness designs (Early College, Concurrent Enrollment, and CTE). Additionally, Lisa brings a unique disposition and learner stance as a collaborator and co-creator who is willing to engage in the often challenging and complex work of school and educational programming design.  Equally as important, she has the lived experience that allows her to be there to troubleshoot and refine implementation through a thoughtful sustained approach. Lisa is worth a strong consideration if you are designing or implementing educational approaches that reimagine and enliven the student and educator experience.

The best coaches and leaders know how to support educators in shaping their classrooms, curriculum, and daily professional lives in ways that feel fulfilling, exciting, and personal. Lisa Garcia Simms is a critical, dedicated, and talented consultant who helped me to push my practice from good to extraordinary. In 14 years of teaching, I can truly say that the 4 years I spent with Lisa as my leader and coach were the most inspiring years of my classroom career. As a new Curriculum Director for a Denver based charter network, Lisa's guidance and support continue to shape my development as a coach who trusts teachers, believes in powerful change, and never loses sight of the mission to create an educational experience that will positively impact the lives of all students.

One would be hard-pressed to find someone in today's progressive educational landscape with the same depth and breadth of expertise in student-centered learning.  Her ideas are not only pedagogically aligned at every level to deepen the learner experience and transcend the limitations of traditional schooling, but they are always grounded in practical implementation.  She understands what it means to take an idea from the neocortex of the brain to the real world as she's lived it.

Leading educators, families, and students through complex times full of change is what Lisa Garcia Simms lives for. I had the pleasure of working with her in a variety of settings for over five years. She is able to drive towards a powerful vision while empowering others to arrive in ways that feel authentic to them. She truly practices what she preaches and treats every educator and student with a deep respect for their humanity. Lisa has deep knowledge and a gigantic imagination. If you are trying to redesign education to serve all students, you have come to the right place. As a teacher, Lisa coached me to to be reflective and see possibility in failures. In a leadership role, Lisa helped me identify what ways I could ensure my team had autonomy while still focusing on common goals. In an educational climate full of pressure and stress I never saw or experienced as much hope and progress in education until I worked with Lisa.

I can brag about how amazing she is all day! What I have appreciated the most is her creative/realistic ideas, experience, energy, and work ethic. Super easy to communicate with and stays on top of all tasks. I am very grateful to have worked with her. I went into a project discouraged and feeling incapable. After, I felt so much confidence in my new role. She provided me with a new lens of my role, plenty of resources, and a forever network partner. I definitely recommend her services!
