About Me

I am a proud 5th generation Colorado Latina, and a life-long learner and educator. I was born and raised in Pueblo with two younger brothers and two parents who were great role models for me. They started a small publishing company called El Escritorio, and they were very active in the community promoting Latino and Native American artists for almost twenty years. I get my great appreciation for my culture, entrepreneurial spirit, and love for the arts from them.
I spend as much time as I can with my family. We miss my Dad, everyday. I love to camp, but don't do it nearly as often as I'd like to! I'm a proud Auntie of two awesome nephews and a fur baby mama of a dog and a cat. I am a world traveler, having traveled extensively throughout Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Guatemala, and Spain. I am an artist and musician, and every summer I aspire to grow the perfect, imperfect garden.
